Key Responsibilities

As a Cook, you will be essential to the culinary operation, ensuring every dish reflects the EDITION standard. Your key duties will include:

  • Preparing and cooking food to precise recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
  • Monitoring and regulating cooking equipment temperatures and managing inventory, including thawing and storage.
  • Ensuring proper portioning, garnishing, and maintaining detailed food logs for quality control.
  • Communicating effectively with the Chef and service team regarding menu specials, stock levels, and assistance needs during service.
  • Upholding the highest standards of safety, sanitation, and personal appearance.
  • Developing positive working relationships, supporting team goals, and performing all tasks with professionalism and attention to detail.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will bring both technical skill and the right attitude to our distinctive environment. The preferred qualifications are:

  • A degree from a Technical, Trade, or Vocational School in a culinary field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant cooking experience in a high-quality culinary environment.
  • The physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift objects up to 25 pounds for extended periods.
  • A commitment to excellence, a collaborative spirit, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
