Your Key Responsibilities
Your work will be varied, ensuring our facility runs smoothly and our residents feel cared for. Your core duties will include:
- Cleaning Duties: Thoroughly cleaning and sanitising resident rooms and all communal areas, following strict infection control measures to ensure a safe environment.
- Laundry Assistance: Processing all facility laundry, including sorting items, operating washing machines and dryers on correct cycles, and meticulously folding and organising clean clothes for timely return to residents.
- Stock and Compliance: Restocking essential supplies like paper products, PPE, and hygiene items, and diligently completing and signing off on all daily task checklists and laundry logs per facility policy.
- Resident-Focused Approach: Carrying out all tasks with consideration for our residents’ wellbeing, helping to contribute to the calm, positive atmosphere of our home.
What We’re Looking For

- Strong organisational skills, reliability, and the ability to work effectively without constant supervision.
- A keen eye for detail, ensuring both cleaning and laundry tasks are completed to a high standard.
- Flexible availability for casual shifts, including weekends, to cover various needs within the facility.
- A genuine respect for the elderly and a desire to contribute to their quality of life.
Previous experience in cleaning, laundry, or the healthcare industry is preferred, but it is not a requirement. We provide full training to compassionate individuals with the right mindset. Please note, applicants must already have valid working rights in New Zealand, as we are unable to support visa applications for this casual position.
