Key Responsibilities
Your primary focus will be ensuring safe, comfortable, and timely transportation for our residents. Your daily duties will include:
- Safely operating the community van to transport residents to scheduled medical appointments, group outings, and shopping trips.
- Performing routine vehicle safety checks and maintenance to keep the van in reliable, clean condition.
- Acting as an Activity Assistant during excursions, staying with the resident group to provide support and ensure everyone’s safety and enjoyment.
- Carefully assisting residents as they enter and exit the vehicle.
- Monitoring resident well-being during transport and alerting the appropriate staff members if assistance is needed.
- Maintaining accurate transportation logs and schedules.
Qualifications
We are looking for a compassionate individual who brings the right blend of skill and heart. The ideal candidate will have:
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- A genuine, demonstrated interest in working with and serving the elderly population.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient, observant nature.
- Reliability, a strong sense of responsibility, and a team-oriented attitude.
- Previous experience in activities, recreation, or a similar supportive role is a plus.
