Key Responsibilities
As the critical link between our branch and our customers, your role will be hands-on and varied. Key duties include:
- Providing exceptional customer service by offering expert advice and safely demonstrating how to use our hire equipment.
- Performing pickups and deliveries of equipment from customer sites, which involves the safe loading, unloading, and securing of items.
- Maintaining our high equipment standards by performing regular servicing, minor repairs, and thorough cleaning.
- Conducting detailed ‘check in’ and ‘check out’ inspections of all equipment.
- Assisting with general branch maintenance, including cleaning facilities and ensuring the yard is tidy and organised.
- Upholding our strong safety culture in every task and customer interaction.
Qualifications
We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds. To thrive in this role, you will need:
- Must be available to work Monday to Friday (no weekend work required).
- Strong communication skills, a proactive and keen-to-learn attitude, and the ability to be a positive team player.
- Good physical fitness for lifting, standing for long periods, and handling equipment. The ability to pass a pre-employment drug test is required.
- Licence: A valid LR-MR driver’s licence is preferred but not essential for the right candidate.
- Interest: An interest in machinery and equipment is a plus, but full training is provided.
- Experience in customer service, building, hospitality, retail, driving, or trades is beneficial but not mandatory.
