Key Responsibilities

You’ll be the essential link in our donation chain, ensuring quality goods reach our stores safely and efficiently.

  • Safely collect and deliver a variety of donated goods, including furniture and textiles, from donor homes, clothing bins, and other locations across the Central Sydney region.
  • Interact courteously with donors, evaluating items on-site to accept only those in good, resalable condition, and declining unsuitable items with professionalism.
  • Properly load and secure items onto the vehicle, then unload and sort them at our designated stores and warehouses with care to prevent damage.
  • Complete scheduled collections and disposal of rubbish from our sites, taking materials to appropriate landfill or recycling centres.
  • Perform daily vehicle safety checks, maintain the cleanliness of your truck and equipment, and complete all required run sheets and digital job status updates accurately.

Qualifications

We value safety, a great attitude, and a heart for service. Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • A current MR (Medium Rigid) driver’s licence is essential for this role.
  • Proven experience driving a medium rigid vehicle, with a strong focus on road safety and vehicle care.
  • Excellent customer service skills you’re comfortable interacting with the public, are a clear communicator, and represent our organisation positively.
  • The physical ability to safely lift, load, and unload furniture and other donated items as part of a team or independently.
  • A current forklift licence (counterbalance) is highly regarded, though not mandatory.
  • Previous experience in furniture removal, logistics, or a similar customer-facing role is a definite advantage.
