Key Responsibilities
As the critical link between our branch and our customers, your role will be diverse and hands-on. Key duties include:
- Providing exceptional customer service by offering expert advice and safely demonstrating how to use our hire equipment.
- Performing pickups and deliveries of equipment from customer sites, which involves the safe loading, unloading, and securing of items.
- Maintaining our high equipment standards by performing regular servicing, minor repairs, and thorough cleaning.
- Conducting detailed ‘check in’ and ‘check out’ inspections of all equipment.
- Assisting with general branch maintenance, including cleaning facilities and ensuring the yard is tidy and organised.
- Upholding our strong safety culture in every task and customer interaction.
Qualifications
We welcome applicants from a wide range of backgrounds. To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A valid driver’s licence.
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for providing great customer service.
- A proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and the ability to work well in a team.
- Good physical fitness, as the role involves lifting, standing for long periods, and handling equipment.
- An interest in machinery and equipment is a plus, but full training is provided.
- The ability to pass pre-employment background checks, including a drug test and medical check.
- Experience in customer service, building, hospitality, retail, driving, or trades is beneficial but not mandatory.
