Key Responsibilities
As a key leader reporting to the Director of Culinary Operations, you will have a multi-faceted role encompassing strategy, operations, and people leadership. Your primary duties will include:
- Assuring the highest culinary standards across all commissary and kitchen operations.
- Driving new menu development, product innovation, and meticulous cost analysis.
- Providing guidance, mentorship, and leadership to senior culinary team members, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Improving waste reduction, managing budgets, and ensuring strict adherence to purchasing and stock management procedures.
- Recruiting, training, and developing a high-performing culinary team, using coaching and performance reviews to nurture talent.
- Ensuring full compliance with all company policies, food safety (FSMS), and hygiene regulations (NEA/MOH).
- Serving as a key liaison between F&B, kitchen, and other hotel departments to enhance the overall guest experience.
Qualifications
This role demands a leader of exceptional caliber and experience. The ideal candidate will possess:
- A relevant Culinary School or College Diploma.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a senior culinary management position, preferably within a large, multi-outlet hotel or similar operation.
- Essential certifications: Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and FSMS Level 3 (SFA).
- Strong knowledge of NEA and MOH regulations, Singapore labour laws, and visa requirements.
- Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to influence and work with a diverse, multicultural team.
- High integrity, sound judgement, and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement systems.
- A service-oriented mindset with an impeccable eye for detail and a passion for culinary innovation.
