Key Responsibilities
As a key member of our painting team, you will be responsible for delivering top-quality finishes across a variety of projects. Your duties will include:
- Selecting the correct paints, primers, and finishes for each specific job.
- Meticulously preparing surfaces through plastering, gib stopping, sanding, and cleaning.
- Applying paint using a full range of techniques including brushing, rolling, and spraying to achieve professional, durable finishes.
- Strictly following all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe worksite for everyone.
- Collaborating effectively with team members, other contractors, and occasionally clients to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest standard.
- Maintaining and cleaning all painting equipment and adhering to our eco-friendly decorator practices.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with a solid foundation in painting and the right attitude for growth. The ideal applicant will have:
- At least 3 years of hands-on painting experience, with proven skills in spraying, rolling, and brush techniques.
- A trade qualification is ideal but not mandatory; we value proven skill and a strong work ethic.
- The ability to work efficiently both independently and as a collaborative team member.
- Strong knowledge of painting materials, techniques, and tools.
- Good physical fitness for tasks involving lifting, climbing, and working at heights.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- A current driver’s licence.
This role also offers a potential pathway to a Manager’s Position for a suitably experienced and motivated candidate.
