Key Responsibilities
As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for the detailed upkeep of both resident rooms and public areas, ensuring a consistently clean and comfortable environment. Your primary duties will include:
- Performing daily cleaning tasks in assigned resident rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, and thorough bathroom sanitation.
- Cleaning all public areas, including bathrooms, by sweeping, mopping, dusting, and emptying trash receptacles.
- Replenishing resident supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and linens as needed.
- Observing and reporting any maintenance needs or safety concerns (e.g., burned-out light bulbs, unsecured rugs) to the appropriate department.
- Assisting, as needed, in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
- Adhering strictly to all company policies, health regulations, and safety protocols.
Qualifications
To be successful in this important role, you must meet the following requirements:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- A compassionate, patient demeanor with the ability to work respectfully with the elderly, including those who may be ill or upset.
- The physical capability to meet the demands of the job, including lifting up to 25 pounds, standing and moving for extended periods, and performing cleaning tasks that involve pushing, pulling, and bending.
- Must provide annual verification of a negative TB skin test and meet general health requirements.
- A reliable work ethic, commitment to attendance policies, and the ability to work well within a team.
