Waikato Sandblasting Services (part of Steel & Tube Galvanising Ltd) is looking for a reliable and motivated Industrial Coatings Labourer to join our close-knit team. Key Responsibilities
In this versatile role, you will support our coatings and blasting team across a range of essential tasks. Your primary duties will include:
- Performing industrial sandblasting as the core focus of your role.
- Assisting with industrial painting, coating application, and surface preparation.
- Carrying out workshop clean-up, yard work, and general labouring duties.
- Supporting the wider team across different areas of the business as workload demands.
- Adhering strictly to all health and safety protocols and maintaining a tidy, organised work area.
Qualifications
We are looking for a team player with the right attitude and capacity for physical work. The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous industrial sandblasting experience is preferred. Painting or coatings experience is an advantage.
- Good physical fitness and comfort with manual, hands-on work.
- A strong, inherent focus on safety and a reliable work ethic.
- Good verbal communication skills and a flexible, cooperative attitude.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and thrive in a team environment.
- Legal right to work in New Zealand without restriction.
