Key Responsibilities
As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will be a key player in keeping our bakery operations running smoothly and safely. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Performing both scheduled preventive maintenance and unscheduled repairs on a wide variety of industrial bakery equipment to maximize uptime and efficiency.
- Demonstrating safe work habits at all times, including proper tool selection, lockout/tagout procedures, and general shop safety practices.
- Identifying mechanical wear, troubleshooting issues, and replacing components on mechanical drives, conveyors, and other systems.
- Using SAP software for checking out parts, entering work data, and generating maintenance reports.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment and complying with all company safety and environmental programs.
- Rotating through different assignments and areas of the bakery to support overall operations, showing flexibility and a team-first attitude.
- Obtaining and maintaining any required municipal or state licenses for working on boilers, refrigeration, or other regulated equipment.
Qualifications
We are looking for hands-on technicians with a strong foundation and a drive to learn. The ideal candidate will have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent; a technical or trade school certification is a significant plus.
- At least one (1) year of hands-on technical experience in a relevant field such as HVAC, welding, electrical, industrial equipment repair, or automotive repair.
- A strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot problems effectively.
- The flexibility to adapt to changing tasks and a willingness to undergo ongoing paid training to keep up with technological advancements.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and system navigation (experience with SAP is beneficial but not required).
- A proven commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in your work.
