Key Responsibilities

As a Baker within our group, you will be responsible for the heart of our bakery operations, supporting the restaurant’s dynamic menu. Your key duties will include:

  • Preparing and baking all bakery items to precise, standardised recipes, ensuring consistent quality and output.
  • Managing the bakery section: estimating needs, controlling inventory, requisitioning supplies, and minimising wastage.
  • Supervising and coordinating bakery staff, including scheduling, training, and daily task management.
  • Maintaining all bakery equipment and work areas to the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation.
  • Assisting in the development, testing, and planning of new bakery recipes and menu items.
  • Checking daily mise en place for freshness, monitoring stock movement, and handling ordering for your section.
  • Supporting the main kitchen during peak service periods and performing specialised decorating as required.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a professional bakery or pastry section within a high-volume kitchen.
