Key Responsibilities

In this specialised maintenance role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability of advanced automated systems. Your key duties will include:

  • Performing corrective and preventative maintenance on complex, automated industrial lines and material handling systems.
  • Diagnosing and repairing intricate electrical and automation faults using sophisticated computerised monitoring and control systems.
  • Working with PLCs, HMIs, scanners, conveyors, and other automated equipment.
  • Accurately logging all maintenance activities, parts usage, and fault reports in the SAP system to support data-driven operations.
  • Collaborating closely with a tight-knit team of technicians to ensure optimal plant performance and minimal downtime.

Qualifications

To be successful in this high-tech environment, you will need:

  • A Certificate III in Electrotechnology (Electrician) and a current, full QLD Electrical Licence.
  • Proven hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, preferably with automated systems, conveyors, or sorting machinery.
  • Practical experience troubleshooting PLCs and automation networks.
  • Strong computer literacy and the ability to quickly learn new software and diagnostic systems.
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work comfortably at heights and on a rotating 12-hour shift roster.
