TWS Energy Controls is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Technician to join our production team in Christchurch. Key Responsibilities
You’ll play a key role in our production process, rotating through various essential manufacturing areas. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Following detailed job sheets and standard operating procedures to ensure the consistent, high-quality assembly of instrument transformers and metering units.
- Operating a variety of powered and non-powered tools and machinery safely and effectively.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings to guide your assembly and manufacturing tasks.
- Performing skilled hands-on work such as soldering, electrical termination, mixing and handling resins, and transformer winding.
- Keeping your workspace organised and tidy, accurately recording material usage, and helping to minimise waste.
- Working collaboratively with your team, asking questions, and contributing ideas for process improvements.
Qualifications
We are looking for a reliable team player with a strong work ethic. The ideal candidate will have:
- Some experience in a manufacturing, technical, or hands-on assembly environment is preferred, but a great attitude is most important.
- The ability to read and follow technical drawings and structured written procedures carefully.
- An exceptional attention to detail and a unwavering commitment to workplace safety.
- A collaborative, positive, and proactive ‘can-do’ attitude with a genuine willingness to learn new skills.
- Agreement to participate in pre-employment and any ongoing drug testing as part of our commitment to a safe, drug-free workplace.
