Key Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Technician on our Malting Maintenance Team, you will play a critical hands-on role in our daily operations. Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Execute planned maintenance work through our structured planning and scheduling process to ensure equipment reliability.
- Troubleshoot, evaluate problems, and generate actionable solutions for complex mechanical and process equipment.
- Provide technical support to operational leaders and assist with projects, including capital improvements in the plant.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to preventive maintenance routines to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
- Utilize strong documentation, communication, and time management skills to optimize team processes and report on work completed.
- Apply in-depth knowledge to set up, calibrate, and maintain a wide range of industrial processing equipment.
Qualifications
We are looking for a skilled technician with a proven industrial background. The key ingredients for success in this role are:
- A minimum of four (4) years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience, or completion of a four-year accredited industrial apprenticeship program.
- Related journey-level work experience in a heavy industrial mechanics field.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and calibrate complex process equipment, with strong skills in mechanical, electrical, and electronic maintenance techniques.
- The ability to read and comprehend detailed electronic and mechanical instruction manuals.
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles.
- Effective communication skills for one-on-one and small group situations.
- A high school diploma or GED, and you must be at least 21 years of age.
- A results-driven mindset, accountability, and a collaborative spirit.
