Key Responsibilities
In this hands-on role, you will be essential to our fabrication process. Your key duties will include:
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings to guide your work.
- Setting up welding equipment and selecting the correct methods, materials, and tools for each project.
- Fitting and welding metal components accurately to meet all specified tolerances and standards.
- Inspecting your own welds for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications.
- Operating and performing basic maintenance on welding equipment to ensure it remains in safe, working order.
- Collaborating effectively with team members and other departments to maintain a smooth workflow and meet project deadlines.
- Strictly adhering to all company safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will bring a combination of foundational skills and the right attitude:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in MIG welding is a strong asset.
- Completion of a welding apprenticeship, vocational training, or a college-technical school program is preferred but not mandatory.
- The ability to read and work from blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent manual dexterity, and good physical stamina.
- A self-motivated approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- A firm and demonstrated commitment to workplace safety protocols.
