Key Responsibilities
As a Custodial Assistant, you will perform a variety of tasks critical to maintaining our Home’s high standards. Your duties will include:
- Cleaning and sanitizing all assigned areas of the Home through dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, scrubbing, and waxing.
- Moving furniture to clean thoroughly and operating power-driven equipment such as buffers and industrial vacuums.
- Safely using sanitizing agents and disinfectants, and stocking soap, towel, and toiletry dispensers.
- Climbing ladders and navigating stairwells to reach all areas, and working closely with the nursing department to coordinate tasks and priorities.
- Ensuring every task is completed with attention to detail and a commitment to the safety and comfort of our Veterans.
Qualifications
This is an entry-level position where your attitude and dedication are most important. The qualifications are:
- No prior experience required (0-1 years); we provide comprehensive training.
- A strong sense of purpose and a desire to contribute to the well-being of our Veterans.
- The physical ability to perform tasks including lifting, climbing, and operating equipment.
- Reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
