Key Responsibilities
In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the full scope of painting tasks on site, ensuring high standards from preparation to completion. Your duties will include:
- Performing thorough surface preparation, including plastering repairs, to create the perfect base for paint.
- Applying high-quality finishes using brush, roller, and spray techniques across interior and exterior surfaces.
- Working efficiently on a mix of residential and commercial sites, including new construction and maintenance repaints.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised worksite and ensuring all tools and equipment are properly cared for.
- Collaborating with team members and supervisors to complete projects on schedule and to specification.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven painting experience, with a minimum of 1 year in the trade preferred.
- Solid skills in plastering/preparation and application using brush, roller, and spray methods.
- Experience working on new builds, residential properties, and commercial maintenance projects.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Your own reliable transport to get to various job sites in and around Napier.
- Current entitlement to work in New Zealand.
