Key Responsibilities

- You will travel to customer sites to perform diagnostics, repairs, and scheduled maintenance on a range of John Deere and other equipment.
- A key part of your role will be providing clear, expert advice to customers, helping them understand their equipment and how to care for it.
- You’ll need to accurately document every job, noting parts used and time taken, to ensure clear communication and correct invoicing.
- Adapting to changing daily schedules and responding to urgent breakdowns is a standard part of the job, requiring flexibility and a calm approach.

Qualifications
We’re looking for a skilled technician who brings both technical ability and the right attitude. Here are the essentials we need:
- A formal trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, Mobile Plant Mechanic, or equivalent. We also encourage Light Vehicle Mechanics who are eager to transition into the heavy equipment industry to apply.
- Solid hands-on experience in diagnostics and repairs. Previous field service experience is highly regarded but not mandatory.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, particularly in electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Excellent customer service skills and a professional, proactive attitude are just as important as your technical knowledge.
- A strong safety mindset and a solutions-focused approach to every challenge.
- While experience with agricultural equipment is beneficial, we provide comprehensive training and support for the right candidate.
