Key Responsibilities
Your primary focus will be delivering flawless paint finishes as part of our skilled team. Your core duties will include:
- Performing expert sanding, masking, and preparation for paint.
- Spray painting vehicles and components to a showroom-quality finish.
- Maintaining the paint workshop to a high standard of cleanliness and organisation.
- Buffing and polishing finished work to ensure a perfect final appearance.
- Depending on your experience level, you may also take on colour matching, grinding/filler work, sandblasting, or shop management and planning duties.
Qualifications
We are flexible on background but firm on attitude and potential. The must-haves are:
- A solid foundation in automotive spray painting, sanding, masking, and buffing.
- A genuine passion for quality, a strong work ethic, and a collaborative team spirit.
- The legal right to live and work in New Zealand (overseas applications cannot be considered).
- You must currently reside in New Zealand.
This role is ideal for a painter who has recently finished an apprenticeship and is hungry to develop, or for an experienced painter looking for a fresh challenge and potential leadership. Additional skills in colour matching, body prep, or management are highly valued bonuses.
