Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute laboratory tests on equipment according to applicable standards
- Determine required tests, sample numbers, and testing order in collaboration with certifiers
- Assemble, disassemble, and prepare test samples, including setup of laboratory equipment
- Perform calculations, compile data, and summarize results into reports and checklists
- Verify consistency of measurements and test calculations and determine product pass/fail statusMaintain laboratory cleanliness and proper organization of tools, equipment, and sample
- Follow up on non-conformances and ensure integrity of customer samples
- Provide clients and certifiers with detailed interpretations of test results and certification status
- Participate in fieldwork or work outside the laboratory as required
- Process administrative tasks such as alternative construction, change of records, or multiple listings as needed
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in engineering, applied sciences, or a related technical field is preferred
- Experience in laboratory testing, product evaluation, or quality assurance is an advantage
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills for calculating and interpreting test results
- Ability to operate laboratory equipment independently and maintain accurate records
- Attention to detail, organization, and commitment to safety and quality standards
- Effective communication skills to liaise with certifiers, clients, and team members
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced lab environment
