Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day to day running of the restaurant, ensuring all operations run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Ensure that menu items are prepared and delivered in accordance with GYG’s food recipe and cooking guides, maintaining consistency and quality.
  • Manage inventory and maintain stock at sufficient levels to ensure all products are available to customers at all times.
  • Hire, train, and motivate staff, fostering teamwork and alignment with workplace goals.
  • Arrange the ordering and purchasing of goods and ingredients according to budget.
  • Take full ownership of the profit and loss statement, including management of cost of goods sold, cost of labour, operating expenses, and cash management.
  • Ensure the correct use and maintenance of all equipment in accordance with GYG requirements and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Complete accurate financial and system reporting and provide results and feedback to the Culinary and Operations Coach or Franchisee.
  • Maintain restaurant security to protect people and assets, including updating security codes and key logs.
  • Effectively manage local area marketing initiatives to attract new customers and build community presence.
  • Comply with all workplace health and safety procedures and practices in accordance with GYG requirements and policies.

Qualifications

A minimum Diploma qualification is required. Candidates must have at least two years of experience as a store manager in a retail setting. Strong financial and commercial acumen with a proven ability to identify and act on sales opportunities and profit and loss management strategies is essential. Previous success in meeting and exceeding key performance indicators in a managerial role is required. A proven track record of delivering outstanding customer service and enhancing the overall guest experience is essential. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are necessary. A current driver’s licence is required, and work authorisation in Australia is essential.
