Key Responsibilities

  1. Ensure consistently high operating standards in every area of housekeeping and laundry as identified by the hotel brand standards.
  2. Monitor the appearance, standards, and performance of all housekeeping and laundry team members with an emphasis on training and teamwork.
  3. Provide excellent guest service, actively working on availability and release of rooms for guest service along with floor housekeeping supervision.
  4. Manage controls of the housekeeping department including frequency of employees, release of master keys, incident book, input and output of uniform and linen.
  5. Check daily guest information in CRM and ensure that preferences and requests are met on time.
  6. Request flowers for special occasions such as marriage, bereavement, or maternity, and provide embroidery for special linen like wedding and pampering.
  7. Control monthly lost and found and donations, check uniforms and send for cleaning or repair, and make daily guest clothing release for laundry service.

What You Need to Qualify

Previous experience in laundry is required. You must have planning and organizing skills, good oral and written communication, and strong interpersonal skills. Proficiency at an intermediate level with computers and programs including Microsoft Office is necessary. You must be committed to delivering a high level of customer service and maintain excellent standards of cleanliness. A positive attitude and the ability to work in a team are essential. Excellent attention to detail is advantageous. No formal degree is specified. You must be eligible to work in Japan and speak Japanese or English at a functional level.
