Key Responsibilities
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, pools, and other facilities after cleaning to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Execute sold room reports, verify room status, identify discrepant rooms, and prioritize cleaning assignments.
- Assist housekeeping management with daily operations, including employee hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching.
- Communicate and coordinate between housekeeping, engineering, front office, and laundry departments.
- Work with the front desk to document and resolve issues related to discrepant rooms.
- Prepare and distribute room assignment changes and communicate any issues to the next shift.
- Complete required documentation and follow all company safety and security policies, reporting equipment problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
What You Need to Qualify
Previous experience in hotel housekeeping or a related role is preferred. You must have strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks. Physical ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 25 kilograms without assistance, and heavier objects with assistance, is required. You must be able to push or pull loaded housekeeping carts and other work related equipment over sloping or uneven surfaces. You need to reach overhead and below the knees, bend, twist, pull, and stoop. You must be able to stand, sit, kneel, or walk for entire work shifts, and have the dexterity to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying sizes and weights.
