Key Responsibilities
In this hands-on role, no two days are the same. Your core focus will be on excellence in coffee and service, while supporting the broader team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating our coffee station with skill and consistency, preparing high-quality beverages that keep our customers coming back.
- Providing friendly, attentive, and professional service to every guest, whether at the counter, table, or during an event.
- Assisting with all aspects of café service during peak periods, including taking orders, running food, and processing payments.
- Supporting the setup, service, and pack-down for special functions and events hosted on-site.
- Helping with daily opening and closing procedures to ensure the café is presented perfectly.
- Contributing to essential back-of-house tasks like stocktaking, restocking, and maintaining a clean, organised workspace.
- Lending a hand in other areas of the wider venue, such as the Pro Shop, when the team needs support.
Qualifications
We value attitude, reliability, and a team spirit as much as experience. The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a barista is a strong advantage, but we are equally interested in candidates with a fantastic attitude and a keen willingness to be trained.
- Outstanding customer service skills, with a natural, friendly demeanour and a positive approach.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a professional, well-presented appearance.
- The ability to stay calm, efficient, and helpful in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster that includes weekdays, weekends, and occasional functions.
- A true team-player mindset, happy to jump in and help wherever is needed to ensure the team’s success.
