Key Responsibilities
Your role will vary based on your specialisation, but will be focused on delivering high-standard electrical work across critical industrial environments. Key scopes of work include:
- Performing installations, maintenance, and fault-finding on fixed plant, MCCs, DBs, and PLC-VSD systems.
- Conducting HV switching, relay testing, and statutory compliance checks.
- Working on construction and commissioning of new process plants, non-process infrastructure (NPI), and camp facilities.
- Executing instrumentation tasks, terminations, and loop checking (for E and I roles).
- Leading crews, coordinating tasks, and ensuring safety and quality compliance (for Supervisor roles).
- Providing skilled support to electricians on large-scale installations and shutdowns (for Trade Assistants).
Qualifications
To be eligible for these site-based roles, you must possess the following:
- A current WA ‘A-Grade’ Electrical Licence (for qualified roles).
- Essential tickets: White Card, LVR-CPR, First Aid, Confined Space, Working at Heights, and Gas Testing Atmospheres.
- The ability to pass a full pre-employment medical (PEM) and drug & alcohol screening.
- A current driver’s licence and full working rights in Australia.
- Proven experience in heavy industry, mining, or resources sectors.
- Additional certifications such as a Cert IV in Instrumentation, EEHA, or HV Authorisation are highly valued for specific roles.
