What You Will Be Doing
- You will perform various duties required for the processing of hospital linens.
- You will transport linen to and from designated areas within the facility.
- You will handle, separate, and sort soiled linens according to established procedures.
- You will process, inspect, and store clean linen articles, ensuring they meet quality standards.
- You will operate related equipment as required for laundry processing.
- You will organize your work effectively to meet the demands of the department.
- You will communicate effectively with team members and supervisors as needed.
- You will work in accordance with infection control and safety protocols at all times.
What We Are Looking For
Education, Training, and Experience:
- Grade 10 or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal effectively with others in a professional manner.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position, including standing, lifting, and moving linen carts.
- Ability to operate related equipment safely and correctly.
- Ability to organize work and manage tasks efficiently.
