Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and other spaces after being cleaned by Housekeepers to ensure all quality standards are met.
  • Run sold room reports, verify room status, determine discrepant rooms, prioritize room cleaning, and update status of departing guest rooms.
  • Assist Housekeeping management in managing daily activities and act as a liaison to coordinate efforts between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry.
  • Document and resolve issues with discrepant rooms in collaboration with the Front Desk team.
  • Prepare, distribute, and communicate changes in room assignments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Communicate issues and updates to the next shift to maintain continuity.
  • Complete required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures, reporting any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing service needs.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, listening and responding appropriately to concerns.
  • Move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 55 pounds without assistance and in excess of 55 pounds with assistance.
  • Push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work related machinery over sloping and uneven surfaces.
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for an extended period across an entire work shift.
  • Enter and locate work related information using computers and point of sale systems.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required. Candidates must have at least one year of related work experience and at least one year of supervisory experience. Strong organizational and leadership skills are essential. The ability to coordinate efforts across multiple departments is important. A commitment to guest satisfaction and quality standards is essential. Physical requirements include the ability to move, lift, and carry objects up to 55 pounds, push and pull loaded housekeeping carts, and stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the shift. Proficiency with computers and point of sale systems is required.
