Key Responsibilities
- Clean allocated areas of the hospital including patient rooms, corridors, bathrooms, and common spaces according to infection control standards
- Assist in food preparation, delivery, and cleaning within the kitchen area while maintaining high standards of food safety
- Maintain appropriate administrative records such as cleaning logs and checklists as directed
- Demonstrate knowledge and experience in cleaning procedures specifically for health related areas
- Apply infection control processes correctly to both laundry and cleaning services
- Understand and follow Work Health and Safety legislation and relevant codes of practice
- Respond to spillages or emergency cleaning needs promptly and safely
Qualifications
Previous experience in cleaning within a health or aged care setting is highly desirable. You must have demonstrated knowledge of infection control processes as they apply to cleaning services. A strong understanding of Work Health and Safety principles is essential. You should be physically capable of standing, bending, lifting, and performing repetitive tasks. Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are required. You must hold unrestricted Australian work rights. A Working With Children Check is not mandatory for this hospital role but you must be willing to undergo any required pre employment checks including a police check and vaccination compliance.

The annual salary for this position ranges from AUD 57,130 to AUD 62,486 pro rata based on 48 hours per fortnight, plus 12 percent superannuation on top.
