We are currently seeking a Laundry Supervisor to plan and oversee laundry operations within a correctional facility. In this role, you will plan the operation of a large laundry, assign work to meet production schedules, supervise and train staff and offender workers, determine proper washing formulas, conduct bacteria control tests, perform minor repairs, and ensure adherence to safety and sanitation standards. The annual salary for this position includes an additional $0.75 per hour maximum security stipend ($1,560 annually) for all full-time positions domiciled in a maximum-security institution.

Key Responsibilities
Plan the operation of a large laundry, assigning work to meet production schedules efficiently; may also direct a dry cleaning unit.
Supervise, evaluate, and train staff and/or resident or offender workers performing laundry duties.
Determine proper washing formulas based on fabric types and soil levels.
Conduct bacteria control and related tests to ensure hygiene standards are met.
Perform minor repairs and adjustments to laundry equipment as needed.
Supervise the maintenance of laundry equipment, coordinating with maintenance staff.
Estimate production costs and prepare production and operational reports.
Requisition supplies and materials required for laundry operations.
Monitor linen usage and ensure adequate quantities of linen supplies are maintained within the facility.
Observe and inspect the laundry process for adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
Develop and review policies and procedures for the provision of laundry services.
Receive general administrative direction; work is reviewed through results obtained and efficiency of operation.
Perform other related work as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Three or more years of experience relevant to the above listed job duties; AND
Possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency.
OR
Three or more years of experience as a Maintenance/Grounds Technician (Maintenance Worker), Stores/Warehouse Associate, or Food Service Supervisor within the Missouri Department of Corrections.

Additional compensation may include:
A $2.00 per hour shift differential if assigned to a shift that begins on or between 12:00pm (noon) and 5:00am at a 24/7 congregate care facility.
A $1.00 per hour restrictive housing stipend if assigned a regular post within a restrictive housing/segregation unit.
A guaranteed 1% pay increase for every two years of continuous service up to 20 years.
