Key Responsibilities
- Carry out high quality maintenance, servicing, and repairs across all door types ensuring systems operate safely and reliably for commercial and industrial clients.
- Perform commissioning of new door installations ensuring all components are correctly installed, calibrated, and functioning according to specifications.
- Provide training to clients on the proper operation and maintenance of door systems to ensure long term performance and safety.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with door systems using strong problem solving abilities and technical knowledge.
- Complete site welding work when required for repairs or installations ensuring all welds meet structural and safety standards.
- Work to safe work practices and complete job safety assessments prior to commencing tasks on site.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with clients and team members regarding job progress, issues encountered, and solutions implemented.
- Manage service vehicle, tools, and equipment ensuring all resources are maintained in good working condition.
Qualifications
A trade background is preferred for this role with electrical experience being highly valued. Candidates with a mechanically minded skill set and a proven interest in hands on technical work will also be considered. A full New Zealand or Australian Class 1 driver licence is mandatory. Class 2 licence and HIAB operator experience are highly preferred and will be an advantage. Site welding experience is preferred as is a Site Safe Certificate or other health and safety qualifications with experience completing job safety assessments and working to safe work practices. Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills both verbal and written are essential for success in this role.
