Key Responsibilities
- Deliver kitchen appliances, cabinetry, and related products safely to customers across Hamilton and surrounding locations.
- Operate delivery vehicles including trucks when required while following all road safety regulations.
- Assist with loading and unloading appliances and kitchen products while ensuring items are handled carefully.
- Support warehouse operations by helping with inward goods, stock organization, and general storage tasks.
- Communicate professionally with customers during deliveries to ensure a positive service experience.
- Maintain accurate delivery schedules and ensure goods are transported on time.
- Assist team members with general warehouse duties when deliveries are not scheduled.
- Follow workplace safety practices when lifting, transporting, and handling heavy appliances.
Qualifications
- Full and clean New Zealand driver license is required for this position.
- Class 2 truck license is preferred but not essential for the right candidate.
- Experience driving heavy vehicles between 3.5 and 6 tonne capacity is required.
- Previous delivery driver or logistics experience is considered beneficial.
- OSH Forklift Certificate is preferred but not mandatory for applicants.
- Physically strong and capable of lifting heavy items safely when required.
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and dependable approach to tasks.
- Ability to use initiative, solve problems, and make practical decisions when needed.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain professional relationships with customers.
- Comfortable working as part of a team while contributing ideas and supporting colleagues.
