What You Will Do Each Day

  • Deliver customer orders as per expectations, ensuring the correct order, proper temperature, timely arrival, and accurate placement
  • Provide excellent customer service at every delivery point, representing Fresh Connection professionally
  • Manage your delivery vehicle, including daily checks, cleanliness, and reporting any maintenance issues
  • Complete delivery documentation and confirm all orders have been signed off
  • Work with the warehouse team after deliveries to help prepare orders for the next day
  • Assist with supply management and stores duties as needed
  • Follow all health and safety procedures, including safe driving and proper lifting techniques

What You Need to Qualify

You must have previous delivery driving experience of two years or more. Food safety and food storage knowledge and experience are essential because you will handle perishable goods. Great customer service skills are required, as you are the face of the company to clients. You need to be physically fit for lifting and moving products throughout your shift. A Class 1 driver’s license is mandatory. A Class F forklift license is also required because you will operate a forklift in the warehouse. You must be reliable, approachable, and friendly. You need to be able to work as a team player but also be comfortable working autonomously. A positive and professional attitude is essential. You must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand. A pre employment drug test may be required.

Pay Rate and Work Conditions

Based on current market rates for delivery drivers in New Zealand with Class 1 and forklift endorsements, the hourly wage typically ranges from 25 to 30 New Zealand dollars per hour.
