Key Responsibilities

  • Perform commercial and industrial electrical installation and maintenance work across a variety of projects including hospitals, supermarkets, schools, and quarries.
  • Work on complex control system installations ensuring all electrical components are correctly integrated and functioning according to specifications.
  • Conduct fault finding and problem solving to diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain a high level of communication with all personnel and clients ensuring project requirements are understood and expectations are met.
  • Conduct all work in a safe manner adhering to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to lesser experienced staff helping them develop their skills and confidence.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with the ability to plan ahead and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Complete work with strong computer skills including the use of Simpro where applicable for job management.

Qualifications

An electrical trade certificate is mandatory for this role. Candidates must hold a full drivers licence. Experience with motors and electrical for mechanical systems is essential as is experience with electrical for controls. Strong fault finding and problem solving skills are required along with a high level of attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects are important. Strong computer skills are required. Experience with PLC and controls is a bonus and will be highly regarded. Candidates must demonstrate flexibility and availability to work extra hours as required along with a willingness to learn, progress, and be part of a team.
