The North Shore branch is looking for a team member who takes pride in keeping the yard safe and organised while delivering excellent customer service.
What You Will Do Each Day
- Provide customer service both inside the sales office and outside in the yard, helping customers select the right products for their projects
- Load cars, trailers, and trucks with materials safely and efficiently
- Drive Class 1 or Class 2 trucks to deliver product to customer sites, following all road rules and safety procedures
- Maintain a safe and tidy yard, including organising stock, sweeping, and removing hazards
- Order and receive product as required, checking deliveries against invoices
- Assist with general yard duties including stock rotation and basic equipment checks
- Work collaboratively with branch team members to ensure smooth daily operations
What You Need to Qualify
A current Class 1 driver’s license is required. A Class 2 license is preferred and will allow you to handle a wider range of deliveries. Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or customer service role is helpful but not essential if you are energetic and willing to learn. You need to be physically fit for lifting, loading, and standing for extended periods. A friendly and helpful attitude is important because you will interact with customers regularly. You must be reliable and able to follow health and safety procedures. Forklift experience or a forklift license is an asset but not required. You must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand.
