Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and provide guidance to the Warehouse Support team, including training, task assignment, and performance monitoring, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging teamwork.
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels by overseeing regular stock checks and daily cycle counts, ensuring alignment between system records and physical stock.
- Coordinate the picking, packing, and shipment of orders to meet customer requirements and delivery deadlines, overseeing accurate preparation of export shipments and raw material support for production.
- Enforce safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a hazard free and compliant warehouse environment, staying informed about workplace safety regulations and ensuring the team follows procedures.
- Ensure proper maintenance of warehouse material handling equipment, collaborating with suppliers to coordinate servicing and repairs without impacting warehouse activities, and oversee warehouse layout cleanliness for optimal efficiency.
- Maintain accurate documentation to reflect the effectiveness and efficiency of warehouse activities, generating regular reports on near misses, incident cases, corrective action preventive action, and operational metrics.
- Address operational challenges such as shipment delays, inventory shortages, and order discrepancies in a timely manner, maintaining effective communication with the warehouse operations team and other departments.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance warehouse operations, streamline workflows, and achieve cost savings.
- Provide backup for the Warehouse Specialist by assisting with receiving maintenance repair and operations items and incoming raw materials as needed.
Qualifications
A minimum O level certificate or diploma in Supply Chain Management or Warehouse Management is required. At least five years of experience in a related field is essential. Candidates must have familiarity with warehouse material handling equipment and possess a forklift driving license. Strong leadership and team management skills, along with effective communication and interpersonal abilities, are critical. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as experience with enterprise resource planning systems, is required. A 6 Sigma Yellow Belt certification is preferred, along with the ability to drive continuous improvement using Root Cause Analysis, Lean Basics, and Leader Standard Work. A positive attitude, reliability, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities are essential. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling products and inventory, along with good report writing skills, are required.
