Sweetens Concrete Services, LLC is seeking a motivated and reliable Shop Assistant to support day-to-day shop operations and project setup. This full-time position focuses on vehicle and equipment management, manual labor, and organizational support to ensure projects run smoothly and meet customer standards. The role requires someone who can work independently, manage time efficiently, and perform physically demanding tasks.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist the shop manager with fleet and equipment maintenance and repairs
- Perform vehicle maintenance and ensure equipment is operational
- Operate construction equipment for mobilization purposes
- Pull, park, and stage vehicles with trailers for jobs
- Receive and organize materials delivered to the shop
- Pick up equipment and materials from vendors and deliver to job sites or return to the shop
- Stage all new jobs with necessary materials and equipment
- Ensure projects are completed and left to the highest standards for customers
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the shop
- Perform manual labor, including lifting items over 40 pounds
- Complete daily tasks efficiently without constant supervision
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A driver’s license
- Ability to manage time and work independently
- Physically capable of performing manual labor, including lifting 40+ pounds
- Experience operating construction equipment preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Work Schedule
- 8-hour day shifts with overtime as required
- Weekend availability may be necessary
- On-site, in-person work location
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting pay: $25.00 per hour
